Psalm 1:1-2
1: Blessed is the man
Who walk not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of the scornful:
2: But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law, he meditates day and night.
We can be “in” the world, but not “of” the world. We do not have to operate the way the world does. When God sanctified us, He set us apart, to be used by Him. As we go through our daily routine, others should see our “delight” in His laws! Not that we are any better than anyone else, but because we are operating in Christ, we should act like Christ.
When we meditate on His law, we are able to listen and hear His voice and allow Him to lead, guide and direct us throughout our day.
“Lord, thank you for another opportunity to get it right. Thank you that we are in the world but not of the world. Keep our minds and thoughts focused on You today and doing what is pleasing to You! In the name of Jesus, Amen!”
