From the Pastor’s Pen: Focusing on more numbers, more money, and more facilities, has caused many of our churches to miss the primary mission of the church. To put it simply, we are operating on our agenda rather than on God’s and, therefore, we have a lot of religious activity but little impact.
As God’s people, we have a job to do. Both individually and corporately. Jesus did not leave us with vague ideas about what we are to do. Instead, He gave us specific instructions on how to accomplish our mission. Jesus presents that mission in Matthew 28:19-20, which is what we call the “Great Commission”.
