1 John 1:9
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ”
We are all sinners, and in need of forgiveness. When we confess our sins, God will forgive our sins, He will clean us up and restore us into fellowship with Him! When we sin, we must take ownership of our sins and misbehavior! God is so awesome, in that, He tells us in His word what we are to do to get back in a right relationship with Him. Forgiveness and cleansing are guaranteed because God is faithful to His promises. God forgives us because of the perfect and righteous sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ.
“Lord, thank You for Your many promises. We realize that once we sin, all we have to do is confess our mess, turn away from those evil and wicked ways and turn to You, then You will forgive our sins and restore our relationship with You. May You get glory out of all we do and say today! In the name of Jesus, Amen!
