Proverbs 16: 18 & 19
18: Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.
19: Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
God created us all and we are all His children. We can not allow the things we have or the people we associate with, or the titles we associate with ourselves, to make us think we are better than others. Pride and arrogance are of the devil and God has no part in that. All of our worldly possession will fade away. The cars we drive, the clothes we wear, the jobs we have, makes us no better than anyone else. We should be reminded that God has no partiality. Keep a humble spirit. God resist the proud, but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5b).
“Lord, thank You for another day. Thank You for not having partiality. Thank You for loving us all in a special way. Keep us humble and near and dear to You. In the name of Jesus, Amen!”
