Joshua 3:1-17
17: Then the priest who bore the ark of the covenent of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry land until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.”
Talk about courage….
What would you say if God asked you to lead a group of people as He asked Joshua? How would you respond if God was telling you to do something that you know you are not capable of doing on your own?
When God is instructing us to do, we step out on Faith. God equips those whom He calls. He knows what we have need of and He will supply our every need. We just have to be brave enough to know that if God allowed it to be so, He is there with us to see us through.
We must always be obedient to the voice of the Lord. As we study and apply God’s Word to our daily walk, His truths and promises become imbedded in our minds and should influence our actions. The more we think God’s way, the more we will follow Him.
Never forget your history with God. Remember the victories of your past. Remember how God was with you and carried you through the “last” time. If He did it before, He can surely do it again.
Have courage when God calls upon you to do a work for Him. Be obedient to Him. And allow Him to order your steps and direct your path. He brings us out of darkness and into His marvelous light!!!! He did it for Joshua and the people of Israel. He will do the same for you!!
Courage
